Corporate Social Responsibility
Iceworld™ Olympic Ice Rinks thinks CSR is imperative. Iceworld™ complete a number of activities to achieve a positive impact on the environment, our consumers, our employees and our community.
Morgan Innes Foundation
Iceworld™ is proud to support the Morgan Innes Foundation which was established to honour the lives of seven people drawn together by their love of figure skating. While four people died tragically, three remained seriously injured in the collision between a boat and ferry on Sydney Harbour on 28th March, 2007.
The Foundation celebrates the lives of these passionate people by raising funds to help young ice skaters pursue their ice skating dreams and provides opportunities for disadvantaged youth to experience the "fun" that brings all skaters to the ice each day. For more information click here.
Cancer Council
We all know that the Queensland sun is dangerous and that skin cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in Australia. So to avoid those harmful UV rays, why not ''get your skates'' on and come Ice Skating!! You'll be inside in a cool, safe, fun environment and most importantly, you'll evade the damaging UV rays. So stay cool all year round at Iceworld™ Olympic Ice Rinks where you'll discover a whole new world of coolness beneath your feet!
If you are out in the sun, follow the sunsmart Cancer council tips which will help prevent skin cancer:
For best protection, they recommend a combination of sun protection measures:

Recycling
Did you know?
• Every tonne of paper recycled saves 2.5 barrels of oil, 4,100 kWh of electricity, 4 cubic metres of landfill and 31, 780 litres of water.
• Every year around 3.5 million tonnes of paper and cardboard are used in Australia, enough to fill 160,000 large semi trailers.
• Recycling 1 tonne of paper and cardboard saves 13 trees.

At Iceworld™, we recycle all paper and cardboard.
Iceworld™ also leads the way with recycling water! Despite the Queensland floods in 2010, we are still very water savvy. Only a short time ago, Queensland experienced a drought. At Iceworld™ we try our best to conserve the water we use.
Iceworld™ conserves water by returning the snow generated during the sessions back to the ice surface. Now that's smart water use!!
Ice Skating for all
Iceworld™ is proud to encourage ice skating for all…we host 2 wheelchair days each year which encourage disabled patrons to get on the ice and experience a world of coolness! The sessions are held at Iceworld™ Boondall and are supervised to ensure all patrons are enjoying the ice in a safe environment. All patrons must wear helmets.
We have two great locations, Acacia Ridge and Boondall. Click here to view on the map.
